We’ve been busy the last couple of months building a new website, writing impact stories, securing a grant, speaking at the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce breakfast and giving an assembly at Northbourne Park School. All in support of the income-generating projects at St Paul KAASO School in Uganda.

Thanks to your generous support, the projects at KAASO for the teachers and staff are underway and going well. So far, they have constructed a goat house and a piggery, and are growing watermelon in the gardens.

This is just a quick message to say thank you for your fantastic support. In the first week of July, we were able to send £4,800 to St Paul KAASO School to support the staff and teachers through this incredibly difficult time.

At the beginning of June, Uganda re-entered a national lockdown as Covid cases were rapidly rising. All schools had to close again, which made an already difficult situation even more challenging for those at St Paul KAASO. We got in touch with Dominic, the Founder and Director of KAASO, to ask what we could do to help.

We had a fantastic time yesterday completing our #CaptainTom100 Challenge. St Paul KAASO School in Uganda organised a whole host of activities for the teachers and students to get involved in, and we were skipping in the UK!

We are excited to let you know that next weekend (30th April – 3rd May), we will be taking part in the Captain Tom 100 Challenge! Friday 30th April 2021 would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore’s 101st birthday and the one-year anniversary of the extraordinary celebrations following the conclusion of his famous 100 laps of his garden that raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS.
Solar batteries installed!

We were thrilled to hit the fundraising target for the Solar Batteries fund at the beginning of February. This has given everyone at St Paul KAASO a real boost and they’ve been able to undertake the replacement of the solar batteries already.
