£1,000 sent to St Paul KAASO Primary School
We’ve recently sent a donation of £1,000 to St Paul KAASO Primary School to help with repairs for the Boys’ washroom. Over the years, Dominic has been advised to use a chemical called DX4 to empty the pit latrine when it reached capacity, but this has now caused the latrine to collapse and the boys can no longer use it. The only other facility they can use is outside of the school boundary, which they are not allowed to go to during the night.
Dominic explains the problem in the video below.
Between Two Worlds has launched!
The book, Between Two Worlds, written by Emma Outteridge (the KAASO volunteer coordinator) has now officially been launched!
We spotted the beautiful video below on Emma’s social media following the book’s launch, which gives an incredible insight into the story she’s telling. Made by the wonderful Beau Outteridge, the video shares the story of Henry and how Emma’s journey in Uganda evolved. If you like the video, you’ll love the book!
A look into the story behind ‘Between Two Worlds’ and Henry, the boy that began it all.
The boring but important stuff
Unity is Strength is registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
The trustees are delighted to let you know that we have just submitted our first Annual Report. Once it has been approved by the Charity Commission, it will be available online. We’ll make sure to share it in the next post!
We have also just submitted our second Gift Aid claim to HMRC, which will give an additional £362 to Unity is Strength! Thank you so much to everyone who donated during our #CaptainTom100 Challenge and to our regular supporters. Without you, none of this would be possible.
