How your donations are helping 🌱

In the first week of July, we were able to send £4,800 to St Paul KAASO School to support the staff and teachers through this incredibly difficult time. We have enjoyed seeing how Dominic and Rose have put these funds to excellent use straight away to build a more resilient future for KAASO in the midst of this uncertainty.

Dominic had the idea to start projects that the staff could be involved in (while schools are closed in Uganda’s national lockdown) to help them learn new skills to generate an income. So far, these have included a brick/block-making project and a piggery.

These projects have attracted the attention of local MPs. Three MPs from the Kyotera District (the nearest town to KAASO) are visiting the school today to see how the projects are working and use them as a case study for other institutions.

The funds have also been used to buy essential items such as soap, rice, salt, maize flour, cooking oil and beans. The staff at KAASO are so grateful for this support; their thanks are recorded in the video below.
